If you’re new here, welcome; if you don’t recognize us, welcome to our new site! Long-time customers have probably noticed a number of changes over the past few months, but none as dramatic as the look-and-feel changes we made last night. We hope you like the new look, and thought the least we could do is document some of the changes we’ve made to ease the transition for those that grew comfortable with our old design.
From a functional perspective, great efforts are being made to make the site more dynamic. With thousands of interesting products on the site, it is impossible to find everything that is new or cool or popular. So, the home page now features a rotating display of both New Arrivals and Best Sellers. For now, the products rotate every 30 seconds, so you can be introduced to 100 products just by staring at our home page for 5 minutes. We cannot think of a better use of your time. "New Arrivals" and "Best Sellers" are now shown on all of the category and brand pages so finding the new and the popular will be a piece of cake. It will also make repeat visits more interesting since we’re always adding new products.
From a cosmetic perspective, we have re-architected our layout so that we will be able to make future changes "on the fly". The biggest and most obvious change is the color palette. It now reflects the navy pinstripe
motif that we have used in our Signature Gift Wrap and on our business
cards for years. There are other significant changes that won’t be visible to visitors, but they’ll make our lives easier, which in time, will make your life easier. For example, our pages are not as "heavy" as they used to be, meaning that they should load faster.
There is a long list of incremental improvements that will come in the coming months, but we are happy with the progress we’ve made. We hope you are too.
