Who (makes these): Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, and Scabal
What (they are): Cut lengths, a.k.a. bolts of fabric, that one buys to make up into a suit, sport coat, trousers, or any piece of tailored clothing you can imagine
Where (these companies are from): England, France, and Belguim, respectively
Why (you should care): because these are three of the world’s finest fabric mills; because a true clotheshorse needs at least half a dozen fabric choices for his mid-weight, cocktail appropriate, double-breasted, surgeon-cuffed navy blazer; because some men would love to place CMT orders with their existing tailors but have difficulty sourcing cloth; because certain men want even more fabric options than those provided by our current suit makers (Oxxford, Peter Millar, and Southwick)
When (you can get them): now
How (to purchase): visit us in person at On The Fly Bespoke, i.e. our custom clothing store in San Francisco’s Financial District
