Although it is widely assumed that Gutenberg invented the printing press in order to mass-produce Bibles, another theory has emerged:
Is it possible that Gutenberg was actually cranking out bespoke stationery in order to make a good impression on friends and associates?
We think the answer is clear, and so will you when you see an old Vandercook letterpress printer in action. So, during the week of July 23rd, Bethany Plath, our on-site letterpress artisan, will fire up the press in our Bespoke store to crank out custom, letterpress note cards and calling cards.
Choose from a variety of masculine icons that we’ve had illustrated just for us, opt for something plain & simple, or commission us to design something incredibly complex just for you. Like a custom suit or shirt, you’ll have the final say on paper color, ink color, the font, and placement of your information on the cards.
Special discounts will be offered to entice those that have thought about letterpress stationery, but have just been waiting for someone like us to make it easy to say “Yes.”
The Trunk Show is from 10am – 4pm Monday through Friday the week of July 23rd.
