Thanks to everyone who made the 3rd annual Frank Sinatra Holiday Party, and the de facto Grand Opening of the 10th floor bar, an unparalleled success.
For the uninitiated, the Club hosts its annual holiday party on Frank Sinatra’s birthday: December 12th. For the past three years, the party has strived to get bigger and better each year, but a guest can always count on good food, way too much booze, live entertainment, and great company. In fact, partaking in all the various forms of alcohol offered is a guaranteed hangover (but we suspect Frank would have been fine with that).
This year’s party did not disappoint. Three cases of Krug arranged like bowling pins greeted guests off the elevator, along with a PhotoBooth with a backdrop featuring Frank, Dean, and Sammy. Bar Director Brian MacGregor offered complimentary pours of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select whiskey while also offering a 50% discount on any whiskies bought that night. Classic cocktails were served throughout. There were featured tastings from Michter’s, Macallan, Highland Park, and a Brugal rum punch in the cigar lounge. Our favorite Cheese Monger, Matt Gill, was on hand in the Wine Cave offering an assortment of Camembert, Wisconsin Sheep, Scottish Cheddar, 2-Year-Aged Gouda, and Swiss Challerhocker. Sugar Knife’s build-your-own-s’mores with alcohol-infused marshmallows were a huge hit in the Boardroom. Graycliff and La Gloria Cubana cigars provided exclusively for special events were a hit in the cigar lounge, and of course, there was music– in addition to the Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. impersonators, we also featured the Royal Jazz Orchestra on the 11th floor. The Best Dressed Contest was judged by Cedric the Entertainer of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Barbershop, and The Original Kings of Comedy fame. Finally, the store’s own Iron Brands played DJ during the after-party that stretched into the early morning.
But we’ll let some of the photos from the evening better tell the story…
