Sometimes a cigar calls for a drink that keeps you warm: cognac, port, espresso. And on warm days, you might prefer a cigar-friendly drink to keep you cool like a Cuba Libre or a Cigar Lover’s “Martini.” Indeed, at some point in history, a brave soul tried combining cognac and port into a single cocktail. Our recipe:… Read more »

The Club held it’s fifth annual Kentucky Derby party on Saturday. To say that members and guests took their responsibility to dress up for the party seriously would be an understatement. So much seersucker, linen, madras, and as one member put it: “hats for days.” The menu featured $5 mint juleps paired with country ham… Read more »
If you’re a cigar lover like me, you’ll probably never forget where you were, or what you were doing, when you first laid eyes on my inaugural ashtray design. Simple. Purposeful. Built-in “social” integration. How could no one have already thought of it? I don’t know. A crystal ashtray for a single cigar that features an accurate,… Read more »
We are thrilled to host Bert Pulitzer for a Survivalon trunkshow this Thursday, April 23rd. Pulitzer is an outerwear innovator, the man who taught Ralph Lauren about the neckwear business, and the guy that first made a name for Velcro. He relaunched Survivalon in 2012, and we’re happy to see it’s return. These waterproof jackets are stylish, in traditionally muted shades as well as brash and compromising colors. They are highly functional, long-lasting, and American-made. And their client roster has included titans among men, like John Wayne.
For years, Davek has been the solution for people sick of umbrellas that buckle and flip inside out at the slightest hint of a breeze. Now Davek has solved our final umbrella quandary–how not to lose it. Davek’s Alert Umbrella is about to conclude a round of funding on Kickstarter, and, from the looks of… Read more »
It’s time for another whisky bundle to add to your growing collection of amazing gold liquid at your home bar. This month Kyle and I put together a fun little ditty from the region of Campbeltown. Tucked away in the South West Corner of Scotland, Campbeltown used to be home to as many as 34 distilleries. Now there are only two left, and they produce some very exciting whiskies indeed. The whiskies in this month’s bundle all come from one distillery; two are homages to closed distilleries, and the other is one of our all-time favorite daily drams. These three bottles would normally retail together for $226.97, but purchased as a bundle, we’re offering them for just $190. Without further ado, our April Whisky Bundle of Joy, featuring Springbank Distillery.
There’s something in the air today. Smells like spring. Fresh cut grass, white ash, and worn leather. Baseball season is here. And we have the authentic, accessories for all spectators and man cave denizens.
We are thrilled to invite you to this Friday’s Valhalla Dinner, hosted by Highland Park’s Brand Ambassador, Martin Daraz.
Let’s just say, this is a BIG deal for scotch drinkers and foodies, alike.
For this one special night, eat like valkyries, gods and goddesses as we toast to Thor, Loki, Freya and Odin, the four rare expressions of the Highland Park Valhalla Collection. In fact, three of these expressions are no longer available for purchase, making this an extraordinary opportunity to be in the presence of greatness.

Wrap-Up: Sundance Style
Over the past week-and-a-half, auteurs, wannabes, and looky-loos crowded into Park City, Utah, for the annual Sundance film festival. One of the largest “independent” film festivals in the nation, this yearly affair brings us the newest works and projects by Hollywood’s top talents as well as regional unknowns. We’re always excited to see which films have been bought for distribution, as well as which sartorial choices have been brought to the blistering temps, so we decided this year, Why not look at both?Posted on February 4, 2015 by Tim Niven
Six More Weeks Of Winter (Outerwear 50% OFF)
Punxsutawney Phil wants it this way. Six more weeks of winter. But never fear, we’ve just knocked a bunch of outerwear down to 50% Off. Most of these items were not included in the Risk/Reward Sale, so even if you have click-fatigue, you’re going to want to check out this select outerwear sale from Bills… Read more »Posted on February 3, 2015 by davidmacfaddenelliott
There’s Always Next Year
We’ll probably watch the Super Bowl on Sunday–you know, for the wings and the commercials–but seriously, after being knocked out of contention by the Sea Pigeons two years running, and watching the team flail around in a cesspool of locker room conflict culminating in the firing of Coach Harbaugh this year, we’re feeling more deflated than a New England football.Posted on January 30, 2015 by davidmacfaddenelliott
Breaking: Whisky Bundles and Whisky Club
We here at Wingtip love whisky. Nay, love is not a strong enough word. We obsess over it, we read about it and drink it every day, and as soon as we can grow gills, we will breathe it. We drink it young, old, neat, and over ice; and whether its lineage is Scottish, American, Japanese, or some other whisky-loving nation, we will give it a fair shake. I think you get the point. We love the Golden Elixir that is the nectar of life–and we want to share it with you.
To that end, Wingtip Bank Of Wine And Spirits manager Kyle Nadeau and myself have worked diligently putting together whisky bundles that will allow you to explore whisky regions from around the world. Each month will feature a three-bottle bundle of whisky for around $200, which will give you the chance to build an amazing whisky library. At the end of the year, if you choose to purchase each month (and if you still have some elixir left in each bottle), your home bar will be better stocked with whiskies than many bars in SF.Posted on January 28, 2015 by Brian MacGregor
